  • Thurston County Superior Court Declaratory Order on Petition for Judicial Review finding the Washington State Gambling Commission’s denial of cash card technology on pull-tab dispensing equipment arbitrary and capricious.  Award of fees and costs under the Equal Access to Justice Act.

  • Negotiated Settlement in a defamation case on behalf of a Casino and its owners when their neighbors, a church organization, accused them of theft.

  • Litigation achieving an injunction and court orders extending card room dealers and employees jobs for several months after Tacoma ordered the card rooms shut down.

  • Pursuit of equity in machine gaming rights on behalf of a cardroom owner operating a card room on fee land in a neighborhood where the Governor granted exclusive machine gaming rights to the Puyallup tribe.

  • Assisted Department of Defense employees to blow the whistle on environmental and safety hazards at the Fort Lewis wastewater treatment facility.

  • Negotiated settlement on behalf of two male Microsoft employees who lost their jobs because their supervisor favored female staff.

  • Jury trial on behalf of a woman suffering memory loss after she was run over in the cross walk on her way to jury duty.

  • Pursued amendment to pension laws to enable service members serving in the Iraq conflict to receive pension benefits that accrue while on active duty.

  • Representation of a private in home care provider organization to limit its liability in relation to state and county liability under its contracts.
